I don’t know if anyone else ever encounters this problem.  I hate when I buy cute magnets and they don’t work well, meaning the magnets aren’t strong enough to hold anything up!  More specifically with cards and pictures or anything more than a few pages thick.  I experience this problem mostly at work.  I work in a cubicle.  I don’t know why, but not all of my cubicle walls are the soft kind that you can pin papers into the canvas.  Some of the walls are actually metal covered by the canvas material.  I felt it was a waste if I didn’t find a way to utilize those walls also.  I figured I could use magnets to hold things up on those walls instead, but the canvas lining proved to be too “thick” for some of the office magnets I’ve found at the stores.  My solution was just to make my own.  Then I can design them any way I like them.  Michaels sell many kinds of magnets with different level of strengths.  I grabbed the strongest ones they carried and just started playing around with things I had laying around.  I had a lot of leftover plastic flowers from my wedding, so I just hot glued them onto the magnets.  Now I have really cute magnets to use on my refrigerator at home as well as my cubicle walls at work.  The flowers were all that I’ve been able to work with so far, but the possibilities are endless.  If anyone is getting married and looking to make their own wedding favors, etc. I think this might be a fun project to do.  You can make cute little photo frame magnets or something!  Making your own magnets can be economical and fun ^_^.
